Sam takes on the London Marathon
Not a lot of notice to do this, but in October I'll be running the London Marathon for Tusk Trust who do great work in protecting wildlife in Kenya. I last did this in 2015 and managed to get around in 4.35, hoping to do better than this if I can.
My story
At very short notice, I have decided to take part in the London Marathon on 2nd October 2022 to help raise vital funds for Tusk for its work across Africa.
I last ran London in 2015 and hobbled across in 4.35 (or so) so anything a bit better than that would be great.
I have run for Tusk for the Lewa half marathons in Kenya and they support great wildlife conservation projects throughout Africa, we have seen their projects with Turtles in Lamu and also they support Pangolin projects in the Mara, which are impressive.
Apparently, the charity has helped pioneer a wide range of successful conservation initiatives across more than 20 countries, increasing vital protection for over 40 million hectares of land and more than 40 threatened species.
Keep visiting this page to hear how my training's going, and how you'll be making a big difference to Tusk by supporting me - just a month to go!
